Hotel America - Cannes

The staff provided extensive recommendations for local dining, made our stay even better.

The bathroom was small, making it uncomfortable for larger individuals to maneuver.

Variety of food items served for very GOOD breakfast.

The bed was too soft, that's my bad luck.

Wonderful small and fairly clean hotel, marvellous location so close to the beach. Newly remodelled rooms with all necessary amenities, the value paid and comfy bed, always outstandingly accommodating staff. The service of the venue is friendly! No charge for wake up calls and ironing too.

Prime location, pleasant sitting area, clean rooms

The air conditioning was ineffective. The bathrooms are ridiculously small, resulting in awkward maneuvering. With insufficient power sockets and an unhelpful check-in process, there's much room for improvement!!!

The staff spoke excellent English, were very helpful and informative and friendly. The room was not large but very adequate as was the bathroom. Very comfortable beds. Bedding and towels changed daily. Fridge & air conditioning. Bathroom small but adequate. Some street noise but windows can be closed with the benefit of the air con. Would definitely stay there again and can recommend value for money. Free internet in reception area, also free Espresso coffee.

Breakfast is an expensive extra at 15 Euros P.P. but then Cannes is an expensive resort. In a moment of madness I ordered a glass of champagne at a bar without checking the menu . When my husband looked at the menu he saw it was 105 Euros per glass. I almost fainted, but the barman was kind enough to let me have it for free! Perhaps we had been overly generous with our tips on previous evenings.

Couple should give it a try

The hotel is in a fantastic spot, just a short walk to the beach. The breakfast spread was excellent, fresh juices and good coffee made mornings start right.

It wasn't exactly pocket change, but worth it for the location.

We stayed for three nights short but very nice the reception persons were very nice and helpfull and smiley all the time, the hotel is small but very comfortable and very clean the stuff were very nice as well, the location is so perfect, no view but so near to everything 7 to 8 minutes to old town, 1 min to the sea ( public and private) and the croisette, and 2 min to the festival de cannes and the red carpet. The atmosphere is so nice. The public transportaion is so perfect near the hotel 5 seconds cross the street and you are at the bus station that takes you direct to Nice airport, if not walk 5 minutes and you are at Canne's main train station.

The breakfast is a bit expensive but tastey, the extra costs like minibar and telephone is a bit expensive too.

I just had an amazing 7-night stay! The breakfast spread was perfect with fresh bread and excellent juices. The room was impressively spacious! The bathroom felt a bit cramped compared to the photos. I would definitely come back!

The classic queen room I got was trendy.

20euro per person for breakfast is extremely expensive. often ran out of towels for the rooftop area

The staff were very friendly and helpful, in fact they announced our arrival pretty much as soon as we walked in the door. The location was excellent for Cannes. Only one street back from the main street and right in the centre of town. Amazingly well priced considering it is just a couple of metres away from some very expensive label stores and hotels. The room was clean and comfortable, nothing really to complain about! There was a free computer in the lobby that we also used to access the internet.

no parking places for a car. if you use the parking garage its an additional 26 euro/day, otherwise on the street you can only pay for 2 hours - but staff was helpful.
